WNC AAPI invites you to join us for a morning of picking Asian pears at Pilot Mountain Pears in Edneyville.

Event Itinerary & Details
10am: Meet up at Pilot Mountain Pears.
10am-11am: Pick pears in the grove.
11am-12pm: Hang out with Asian pear slushies and snacks from the farm store!
Entrance fee is a few dollars. Pears are $1/pound.
Be Prepared! What You Should Bring
Bring a water bottle, hat, suncreen, and good walking shoes! The farm is fairly level but the ground can be a little muddy after it rains.
The farm provides picking sticks, boxes, and wagons. There is also a small farm store with snacks. They accept cash and card.
Parking
Parking and bathrooms are available. Carpooling strongly encouraged!

Official WNC AAPI events may be intended for: AAPI, AAPI + family, AAPI + family & friends, or AAPI + BIPOC.
For events that are open to family and friends, please only invite guests that you believe will be respectful of our shared space and Community Values. Please do not share event signups or locations publicly, and if you do invite a guest, the expectation is that you attend with them.

WNC AAPI hosts and co-hosts several potlucks each year. We try to reduce waste as much as possible by encouraging greener practices at our events.
Please bring your own reusable dishes and eating utensils, and consider donating a set of utensils to our community potluck bin!Compost and recycling are always available at our events to help reduce waste.

Events may be photographed, and pictures may be used on the WNC AAPI website, social media, or other resources such as flyers.
Please let the organizers know if you'd prefer not to be in photos.

Some events may carry some element of risk, such as group hikes. Attendance at any WNC AAPI event is at your own risk.
Attending our events assumes the agreement that you will not hold WNC AAPI or any of its members liable for any injury or illness.
